I grew-up in Hyderabad watching people dancing to the beats of Teenmar and after 35 years and 10 years away from Hyderabad. I still can hear it in my mind. In many marriages I have seen people dancing for hours on that music. It is very simple with just couple of people hiting durms ( Dholak's type), or Dappu with small stick and person dancing would signal with their fingers the tempo of beats.
Dance itself is simple anyone can do if they understand the rhythm ( or lack of it :) ) . With hands flying all over the place, there are quite a few variations mainly with addition of props like knives ( jambia), lat ( stick ) now a days new trend is to use hallow aluminium pipe to get that special effect in the night.
I think Teenmar might be an adaption of Yemeni slow dance with knives and swords popularly known as Marfa in Hyderabad which is seen prominently in Muslim marriages in old city. Watch marfa

A Hyderabadi .....................
Chai chai CHAI CHAI .. I could hear someone walking towards me from behind and I could hear that distinct jingle of loose change ( chilar) in a large shirt pocket. I look up as he comes nears to me ..hnn bolo .. I say eak chai .. EAK CHAI EAK CHAI READY KarNAaa …he shouts and moves away from my table. Oh yes I’m in a café in Hyderabad.
I sat musing about things that happened in last five days and coming to terms with beginning of a new phase in my life. I can distinctly remember six days back, around 3 am I’m getting ready ( It was early Sunday morning and I have notslept Since she called and heard her pained voice for the first time ) to take cab to airport to catch Air India flight to Hyderabad.
Working hard to control my emotions running through me and not to think about the discussion I had with her and family, Switched off my phone moment I went into airport to avoid temptation to call her. That was really were most difficult 12-13 hours of my life were I sat stunned trying hard not to think (about anything ) just telling myself don’t worry all will be well ( yeah sound like a cliché from a movie).
This was my first day since I came to Hyderabad were I felt little relaxed! Reason doctors gave clean chit and I think I saw him smile when I took him in my hand to feed milk, not more than a feet and me hardly feeling his weight.
I felt blessed to have him! yes my Son, who was so eager to meet me that he came a month early and I’m celebrating it sitting alone in a café with a Irani chai in my hand. Hyderabad and my son both away from me and miss them….

Telangana region is one of the cosmopolitan and vibrant society it has developed over period it's unique socio-cultural identity with a linguistics twist.
Telangana core to Telugu identity and but at same times it differs in many ways from other parts of Telugu regions like Andhra and Rayalaseema ( from that matter it true for any indian language ). It would be incorrect to say so and so part of Region of Andhra is core/pure telugu vis-a-vis others.
each region over centuries has evolved variations to language, specific socio, cultural and even religious practices.
The Telangana regions boosts of some of the best historical sites! Prominent among them is Places in Hyderabad, Warangal, Temples like thousand pillar, Ramappa, various Buddhists sites, lone Saraswati temple in Basar, Ramalayem in Bhadrachalam list goes ( pending updates!)
